Ethiopian Entrepreneurs Receive Awards from UNDP

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) presented awards to outstanding entrepreneurs in Ethiopia.
The entrepreneurs received their awards from the hands of the Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.

UNDP over the past two years has provided training for 12 thousand entrepreneurs on creating new opportunities and boosting their creativity.

Outstanding entrepreneurs who had made significant impacts in Ethiopia’s economy, environment and their communities received prizes ranging from 5-20 thousand USD last night at an event held at the Sheraton Addis.

Six award categories were utilized to hand out the awards in urban job creation, rural job creation, micro and small enterprises, environmental conservation, best male entrepreneur, best female entrepreneur and best entrepreneur of the year.
